how to build Selections object

Hope you are doing well. 
I was trying to implement solution to fetch data from multiple tables in spring data jpa and I came across your repository.
But I am not able to understand what is use of join method in Selections interface.
Can you please help me in understanding or provide a sample implementation of that.
