Currently, the customer portal only supports canceling a subscription at the end of the billing period (cancel_at_period_end). Customers who want to cancel immediately — for example, to stop being charged on a trial or to cancel a subscription they no longer want — have no way to do so from the portal. Immediate cancellation is only available to merchants via their dashboard.
