I suppose if the whole lot could get written into a native supersplat project file, this would be a start to a portable file format? I don't think saving the project file with 4dgs saves the 4dgs files currently. |

On the "global" filters (transparency etc) it's perfect to be able to use these filters on a local level on each splat layer, but if there were an option to differentiate between local and global filters (global applying filter to all layers), then you could apply these global filters to 4dgs, presently, this isn't possible. |

Currently, if importing a series of ply's as 4dgs, the timeframe is reset to display individual ply's.
This freezes the ability to add additional camera track keyframes, or add global filters like transparency, tint, SH etc.
In other words, supersplat just becomes a viewer whilst using animated ply files.
If there could be a way to use keyframed splats and editor tools, this would be very powerful for some workflows.
