cannot create pipe too many open files

Hi,

Since I installed flyspell-babel I regularly get the above error message when I open a tex file. There are about 500 aspell processes running even though I have only 4 tex-files open.

Is there a way to close unused aspell processes?

Hi, just to be explicit and avoid endless waiting on your part: Unfortunately I can't offer any help.

I'm sorry I can't give a more satisfying answer, but I simply forgot what all these files even were meant to achieve.
