Title of issue: UNO Mozilla Campus Club 2017 - 2018 Retrospective
What was your highlight from last year
Our biggest highlight was founding the UNO Mozilla Campus Club in January 2018.What is/are the project(s) your Club worked on
- Getting the club up and running - Host a talk by Don Marti on Advertising and Privacy on the Internet - https://www.unomaha.edu/news/events/2018/04/free-the-web-advertising-and-privacy-on-the-internet.php - Recruit members through a talk about open source and how it helps in the job market - Participate in other campus events such as the Puppy Pawooza and UNO’s club fair. What was the most challenging issue that your Club had to deal with
- Finding time to organize activities - Attracting students interested in being part of the club - Deciding on activities and events to organizeAs the Club's leadership, what would be something that you would like to stop doing?
We would like to move from the recruiting and education focus we have had in our first semester to focus more on activities that contribute directly to open source projects. As the Club's leadership, what would be something that you would like to start doing?
Start having bi-weekly get togethers to work on open source stuff and campus club related activitiesAs the Club's leadership, what would be something that you would like to continue doing?
- Have separate meetings with the executive team using an agenda - Use open source tools to support our processesPlease submit something that you would like to share with the Open Source Student Network
