Crash on launch (unable to reach welcome screen) on MacOS (Ossia Score version 3.8.0)

Hello, I am unable to use version 3.8.0 of Ossia Score on my computer due to a crash on start. I am using an Intel MacBook Pro running MacOS 12.7.6. If there is more information that would be useful let me know, I'd be willing to run a debug build to potentially gather more details about the crash, for example. Here is a copy of the crash report from MacOS: crash_report.txt.

• I have the same thing happen with the continuous pre-release build.
• I tried 3.7.1 and that works without crashing, so the crash must have to do with a change introduced after 3.7.1.

hello! arf, score 3.8 uses Qt 6.10 which itself has a hard dependency on macOS 13+... the crash seems to be one of these cases where the app is calling into macOS 13 APIs.
It would be possible to make a custom build that uses an older Qt version, at the cost of some features and stability in the graphics rendering pipeline (which gets a lot of improvement on every release).

That said, the app should definitely warn on startup that it cannot run and not crash like this

hmm actually it's been running 6.10 since score 3.6 so the issue must be somewhere else.

Can I ask what's your CPU ?

I really appreciate your willingness to look in to this, however if you don't have any other users on MacOS < 13 then please don't worry about it. I can run 3.7.1 for now and for much of the software out there will soon need to move to a new computer anyway or maybe try OpenCore patcher to install newer MacOS, it can't be helped unfortunately.

If anything perhaps instead of worrying about fixing this crash, it may just be better to change the minimum required OS version mentioned on this page: https://ossia.io/score/download.html to be MacOS 13?
