Status of liboqs-rust

liboqs-rust has not had any activity in several months now, and unfortunately no one on the OQS Technical Steering Committee has sufficient Rust expertise to be able to step up for maintenance.

This discussion post is meant to find out the extent to which liboqs-rust is being used by members of the community, and see if anyone is willing to help move the project along with updating to the current version of liboqs, as well as looking at current pull requests and issues.

I use the oqs crate. I assume this is what you are talking about.

I actually tried to take over maintenance and submitted a PR to update it. I'll see if I can find it, but it never got any attention.

That sounds like a hen-and-egg problem: Willingness to take on responsibility while no-one is around to take responsibility for such change :-(

Could I invite you @mikelodder7 to take a look at open-quantum-safe/openssh#187 whether you'd agree with being listed similarly for this this sub project -- and do a similar PR here to that effect? It would be much appreciated and help everyone!
