Test_module still uses `build_model_spec`, which no longer exists

PR 2050 removed the function build_model_spec, a helper function to convert MODEL_SPEC, but this function has not yet been removed from the Users Guide repo. Specifically, the test_module MODEL_SPEC should be updated to use the new spec classes.
