integrating libuv with GLib's mainloop

I am in a situation where I need to integrate GLib's mainloop in libuv in my nodejs addon. This brought me here https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=699132
Would love to test this build but not sure how to test the pluggable event loop. Can you help me here?

I have started a libuv plugin, but it's not yet ready. There is also no certainty that the GLib branch will be mainlined any time soon, if at all.
