Unable to change download directory; volumes -v not visible

When adding the torrent, it is not possible to change the download directory; it can only be changed in /data/downloads, and no data can be extracted from the container.

Hi, I use this, I tested in Windows and in other dockers containers type:

docker run --name rutorrent -dt -p 8081:8080 -p 45000:45000 -v D:/docker/rutorrent/downloads:/downloads -v D:/docker/rutorrent/config:/config -v D:/docker/rutorrent/data:/data -v D:/video:/video mondedie/rutorrent:latest

Only can use the folder /data/downloads/, the same if I use "-v D:/MyDownloads:/downloads" instead "-v D:/docker/rutorrent/data/downloads:/downloads"

Rutorrent not see never D:\MyDownloads and D:\Video also do not see the previous directory /rutorrent/data, only /rutorrent/data/downloads

Your mount path is wrong as you're using extra : from windows path

Run instead as follows in PowerShell/CMD:

The same thing keeps happening; the window shows /data/downloads/ and when I select ../ it remains in /data/downloads/.

If I manually type /video when adding the torrent, it shows Torrent failed to be added. Incorrect download directory..

This also happens if I create the Docker container with Linux-style paths in other environments that don't use colons, like a Synology NAS.

It's as if for rutorrent only "/data/downloads" exists, regardless of what is specified with the -v parameter when creating the docker.

You're overriting your mounted folder in -v /d/docker/rutorrent/data/downloads:/downloads.
Change it to -v /d/docker/rutorrent/downloads:/downloads and try again

As I said, either remove this mount "-v /d/docker/rutorrent/data/downloads:/downloads' or replace it with -v /d/docker/rutorrent/downloads:/downloads.
If you remove it, you can still access download folder since it's mounted in -v /d/docker/rutorrent/data:/data
Try again and share your log

As I said before, nothing change with -v /d/docker/rutorrent/downloads:/downloads, the video was done with this command and not work (In Windows, you cannot use the / character to separate lines):

And as you can see, the file /var/log/nginx/error.log is empty:

Even though I'm not mapping /data/downloads, your rutorrent docker always maps to that erroneus path.

Although I'm using Windows as an example, the same thing happens with Linux; it's just faster and more convenient for me on Windows because I don't have to use SSH, but the result is the same.

If is other log file do you need please tell me.

I'm simply trying to get the downloads to be stored on the computer's hard drive outside of the rutorrent docker, but I can't get it to see folders that aren't inside the Docker container, like the Linux server's rutorrent does, for example.

This is normal use of rutorrent; I don't want to do anything special, but the operating system can't access the files inside the Docker container.

I've never had a problem specifying volumes with other Docker containers.

I've specified the three folders, but none of them seem to work, except for the one that depends on the /rutorrent/data folder and the downloads subdirectory, which isn't where I want the downloads to be.

Could you tell me the syntax for trying to change the folder via the environment variable, as you suggest?

Ok, del variable work, it's an improvement, but only the volume specified in DOWNLOAD_DIRECTORY works; it only includes /video/.

I still don't have access to the downloads directory to download files to either directory. Now I can use /video/, but I don't have access to /d/docker/rutorrent/downloads. Why is this happening and Is it not possible to access both folders?
