Naming of CSS class values #2092

@gmilde

Description

@gmilde

Some CSS class values used by the converters and rules in the CSS files come with a "name prefix":

moin-
"Moin internal",
mostly for "everything within the web page header, footer, and sidebars"

html-
elements resembling a HTML element that is not directly supported.

rst- (or moin-rst-)
elements from Docutils that are not directly supported.

db-
DocBook elements (db-mediaobject, db-caption, db-equation, ...) that are not otherwise supported.

No prefix is used for admonitions and userstyles.

Questions:

  • Currently we have classes moin-rst-attribution, moin-rst-optionlist, and moin-rst-fieldlist as well as rst-sidebar.

Should/Could we rename "moin-rst-" to "rst-"?

Could "rst-sidebar" and "dp-sidebar" be merged to "sidebar"?
