Controlling start position

I have recently started to use MINERL. I am trying to see if there is anyway to set the start position? For example, can I always set the start position to a particular (x,y,z) position? I have been unable to set that. Is there a way?

You have a couple of ways to set the starting position:

Environment Reset: You can set the world seed when the environment gets reset. After that, use the chat command \tp @A x y z to teleport players to the desired coordinates.
MineStudio (Recommended): For more straightforward control, we suggest using MineStudio. It provides a MineRL wrapper with easily customizable callbacks. Specifically, you can use our HardResetCallback to set the start position directly. To add to the above answer, you can see PR that added commands here: #638 (i.e., you can pass commands with action["chat"] = "command"

But also what @phython96 said about MineStudio is right; MineRL has not been actively maintained, so there are lots of things missing/lacking features. You probably have better time using MineStudio or other more up-to-date Minecraft envs. MineRL is best used as "backwards compatibility" for previous works.
