tsgo takes forever to compile, 325seconds vs typescript 42seconds

run for a second time it was faster:

but still slower as normal ts

Try without watch mode; watch mode is a prototype.

Use --diagnostics to get timings.

Use --pprofDir . to get profiles and upload them here.

But the code would be the most useful.

How should I track it down which files cause the issue? Can I create some logging in old and new TS and see wich files take how long?

As this is a company internal application I'm not allowed to upload it publicly.

I did basically a bisect to find when this issue started and just want to report the finding.

The issue clearly started with 20251218.1

I tried every other version and it works fine

Actually in my case I can't tell if it hangs indefinitely or is jsut really slow but I'm guessing the former because I waited over 8 minutes. Wish I could give a repro but my monorepo is really large and complex and I dont even know where to start.

Also getting this same problem in an internal application. In fact with 7.0.0-dev.20251218.1 I can't even run --version without it hanging at 100% CPU.
