Ibex soc system is a wonderful project for RISC-V beginners and professional verification engineers alike.
Is there a way to separately extract the ibex soc system and apply it to other environments or projects, instead of only running it on the official board? Alternatively, instead of using verilator for simulation, can we use vcs to integrate this ibex soc system into our own projects?

The currently supported boards are here: https://github.com/lowRISC/ibex-demo-system/blob/main/README.md?plain=1#L16-L35
We are happy to include other boards as other contributors have in the past, just open a pull request and I can take a look.
We currently only have Verilator support, but VCS could be added here: https://github.com/lowRISC/ibex-demo-system/blob/main/ibex_demo_system.core#L275-L300
An example of how you would do something like this can be seen in Ibex simple system: https://github.com/lowRISC/ibex/blob/master/examples/simple_system/ibex_simple_system.core#L164-L167
Again here we would love to get contributions, if you open a pull request I'm happy to take a look and merge if it works.
