highlight and block buttons in moderator dashboard are not working

expected behaviour: highlight and block buttons react to moderation
behaviour: when the moderator press the buttons, the buttons remain grey and do not react. Once the page is reload, the buttons come back to normal. They should be saying "highlighted" and "blocked".
