Not compatible with jQuery 4.0

jQuery 4.0 has removed the "$.type" method. As a result, slick can't properly identify that we have the "responsive" settings array.

This call should be replaced with native browser methods (Array.isArray in this case).

Can you test the current version of slick.js or slick.min.js in 'master'? It's already optimized for the newest jquery ( https://github.com/kenwheeler/slick/tree/master/slick )

I have the same issue. Using: https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/slick-carousel@1.8.1/slick/slick.min.js
I checked https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/kenwheeler/slick@1.8.1/slick/slick.min.js which also does not work.

The version from the master you provided works fine.

Will the CDN version be updated, or from where should I source the files?

You could use master with jsdelivr but if that is what you want?

That is possible, but I would rather prefer a proper version due to possible breaking changes in old projects when something new is pushed to the master. To have control over it.

@danielboucek fwiw, jsdeliver.net supports specifying a specific commit as well, so you could still use master but lock it to a commit hash so updates to master won't affect your projects:

Perhaps a stop gap until a new version is released?
