Less focus on vocal frequencies?

I just started playing with Cava, Wow, Cool project!

I wonder if there's any explanation written how the audio frequencies are analyzed / processed? It feels like vocal frequencies sometimes doesn't register at all?

I also noticed these 'gaps' where certain sounds might not be visualised. There's a lot there, but you might like to read through #672

Yes, each bar represents the average intensity of all frequencies in the band of that bar.

So a sound that has a very clear tone in that band might drown compared to a sound that has a lot of frequencies, like a percussion instrument.

I have tried using the max value instead of the average, but you would end up with the opposite problem.

Maybe it could be a config option. Something like "rhythm"/"melody" focused visualisation.
