Raspberry Pi 3 disconnects from bluetooth audio input device when running cava

Go through the troubleshooting guide in the readme first.

• I see nothing regarding bluetooth devices.

Are you using cava from a package repository, like AUR?

• I used apt install

If so, clone the master branch from here, build and run. Is your issue already resolved?

• Issue persists.

Describe the bug

• I have a bluetooth audio input device connected to my Pi 3.
• When I run Cava, the Pi 3 disconnects from the bluetooth input device after 10 seconds.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Default install of Cava.
2. I pair an audio input device (let's say a smartphone.)
3. I run Cava
4. Pi 3 disconnects from the bluetooth audio input device after 10 seconds

Expected behavior

• I expected the bluetooth audio input device to remain connected.

I have a bluetooth headset here and if I use this mic as my input I do not see this problem. Perhaps you could look to your journal for a hint as to what happened?
