New Solis S6-EH3P10K-NV-YD-L 10kW - 3-phase - Hybrid LV inverter will be installed next week with 2x16kWh LiFePo4-batteries, very interested to test this application to get more savings.

Hi @tatusbar 👋 — great timing, a Solis hybrid is a popular request. To add support we need to control the battery through a Home Assistant integration, and Solis has a couple of options. Could you let us know which one you'll be using once the S6 is installed?

1. solax_modbus (wills106) — local control over Modbus (RS485/USB dongle or Modbus-TCP). The most widely used Solis/multi-brand integration; this is our preferred path since we already support it.
2. solis-cloud-control (mkuthan) — cloud control via the SolisCloud API (just needs an API key, no wiring).

Either works for us — we'll build support for whichever you run (and solax_modbus is our default if you're unsure). Once you've installed and picked one, an experimental beta + a request for a debug log will follow, the same way we rolled out other integrations.

Inverter is now installed and in use, batteries will arrive thu-fri and I install them weekend.

I can´t get solax_modbus-integration work (inverter serial number not reqognized/data reading issue), now using solis_modbus-integration and it works without any issues: https://github.com/Pho3niX90/solis_modbus

Thanks @tatusbar — and apologies, I got ahead of myself asking for a debug report. That export comes from BESS Manager itself, and BESS doesn't support your inverter yet — so there's nothing for you to export at this stage. The ball's in our court. 🙂

Here's the actual plan:

1. We build BESS support for the solis_modbus integration (Pho3niX90) — we can work straight from the integration, so nothing needed from you for this part.
2. We ship it as an experimental beta (the separate "BESS Manager (Beta)" add-on).
3. Then you install that beta — now that it speaks to your Solis — and once your batteries are in this weekend and it's running, you'll be able to export a debug report from the Health tab. That's what we use to validate your setup and lock it into our regression tests.

I'll follow up here when the experimental beta is ready to install. Enjoy the battery install this weekend! 🔋

Hi johanzander. System is currently up and running with batteries. One cycle behind and total 0kWh used for all day and night from grid - all produced by solar panels.

I have currently fixed-term electricity contract for almost 1 year left so my goal is now:
-all PV overproduction charged to batteries and when charging state is 100% -> selling to grid if spot-price is above my contract margin (0,30cent/kWh)
-off PV-season I can charge batteries from grid with static price (about 8 cent/kWh) and sell charged energy when spot-prices get above desired level (including electricity price, taxes, transfer, battery wearing etc.)

After that I´ll move to spot-pricing.

i´m also testing the BESS beta with Solis S6-EH3P10K-H Inverter / Dyness HV 30kWh / Datalogger S2-WL-ST
The BESS Auto-Configuration is not showing me the Solis Inverter or any entity.

Is there something i miss??

Update for @tatusbar and @SA7BNT — there's now a Solis implementation ready for review:

It's built directly on SA7BNT's research and initial implementation in PR #51 — thank you for that, it did the hard work of figuring out the solis_modbus entity mapping and Grid Time of Use v2 schedule. This version re-verifies every entity/unique_id claim against the actual Pho3niX90/solis_modbus integration source (release v4.1.6), and along the way found and worked around a real bug in that integration (some sensors get a malformed unique_id). It also fixes a couple of architecture issues an internal review flagged in the original PR, and adds test coverage plus a Playwright E2E scenario.

Status: still draft, going through review. Once it's merged we'll cut a new BESS Manager (Beta) release, and I'll follow up here with the version to install. It'll be marked experimental — we still need one of you to install it, connect your Solis, and export a debug report from the Health tab so we can confirm it against a real setup and lock it into our regression tests.
