I've been working on implementing MicroVAX 3900 onto the PCjs platform. As a longtime VMS admin, turned enthusiast, as well as a long time SIMH user, when I saw this project, all the awesome systems already supported, including the PDP-11, I thought wow, this needs VAX/VMS too.
I've have a working implementation in my fork, that boots into VMS. I'm currently putting on finishing touches to make the experience fully baked, like the other great historical projects here.
To be transparent, the implemention was done by Claude under my direction, instruction and guidance, using SIMH as an oracle. Disclosing out of respect for the wide range of opinion on AI generated content.
If you're interested in accepting this work into the project, I'm eager to contribute it back. I'm satisfied to let it remain a fork, having scratched the itch of running OpenVMS in a web browser. Please provide some guidance on how or if you'd like to it in, and I'll happily comply.
Working Demo: https://vax.3dl.network/machines/dec/vax/ka655/
hosting a fork of the whole project, only the vax is new.
