Route BigQuery API calls through a proxy

Question

We're using the BigQuery MCP prebuilt config with Claude Desktop and need to route BigQuery API calls through a corporate proxy (https://alvin.ai/) for data governance and audit purposes
(Alvin).

Setting HTTPS_PROXY as an environment variable doesn't work. Is there a way to achieve this today, or could this be supported in a future release?
