[Feedback] Slow start of tasks and hard to understand docs #3387

I just wanted to use this issue as a place to store feedback acquired from a new user trying to request tasks on the network.

  1. Documentation difficulty
    Even though the user has 5 years of programming experience, they found the documentation hard to navigate.
    My understanding is that this stems more from the SDKs being non-trivial to use, which naturally leads to denser, more complex documentation.

  2. Long task startup times with custom image
    Tasks sometimes took up to 20 minutes to start using a 1.5 GB custom image.
    From what I can tell, this is likely due to some providers having slow internet speeds.

Suggestions:

  • Provider offers should include internet speed info so users can filter based on minimum bandwidth requirements.
  • Progress bars should be shown by default, rather than requiring users to implement them manually in their scripts. Yagna can feel like a black box without feedback, and even minimal built-in indicators would help.
