Randomly Failing test on ajax lib

Description

ajax tests randomly fails. The set of tests looks to be quite old and sometimes convoluted, not failing even if they should, accordingly with what they say.
This is due to:

• tests not properly written (not failing in case of different behavior)
• successive refactors

E.g.

How to reproduce

• It happens sometimes on github actions executions

• Not browser related
