thanks for the question. I would be a little more cautiuos with older versions (e.g 3.6 as mentioned above). I think 3.12.x is what most of us a currently using for a stable version.

Did you encounter any problems using a specific version?

I have Python 3.12 installed on my computer, was installing offline Gempy and received this message: The error you are seeing occurs because Theano 1.0.5 is not compatible with Python 3.12. The SafeConfigParser feature was removed in recent versions of Python, and Theano 1.0.5 has not been updated to handle this change.

This is very weird because Theano has been removed as a dependency since beginning of 2024. I would recommend installing the latest gempy version using pip install gempy[opt].
