The serialization functionality this fork existed for has been merged into upstream kvm-bindings in rust-vmm#101. Once Firecracker updates its kvm-bindings dependency to point at the upstream 0.8.0 release (firecracker-microvm/firecracker#4581), we will be archiving this fork next week. Please reach out on this issue if this will affect you.
