What does HERMES_STATIC_LINK do?

When I set it to true I got a bunch of warnings when compiling about the C libraries needing to be present as a dynamic library when executing the program. Does this option just statically link the C libraries or something? Because the name makes it sound like something else. Actually the name itself is confusing, isn't it? It's not meant to be BUILD_STATIC_LIBRARY? Or is it what I thought, link standard C library statically?

HERMES_STATIC_LINK literally does what it says it does:

It compiles statically linked versions of the Hermes CLI tools. In the main branch it was used to make standalone binaries for Linux for easier distribution.

Building static binaries for Linux is fragile work. At the moment this isn't actively used or maintained in the static_h branch, but it does work - I just tried it. Some manual tweaks may be necessary.
