How does one change measurement units (i.e. metric / imperial)?

Hi,

The Google Directions API provides a parameter to set the measurement units.

However, there is no units input parameter declared in the documentation. 

How does one change the measurement system in agm-direction to allow the API to return either metric or imperial?
