Personas

ai-consensus-core deliberately ships only the non-voting judge persona (JUDGE_PERSONA). Debate personas are opinionated content, not mechanics — they belong to the caller, not the library.

This document contains the seven debate personas from the battle-tested Roundtable playbook as a copy-paste reference. Drop the block below into your codebase, edit the voices to match your domain, or replace them wholesale.

The seven Roundtable personas

The non-voting judge (JUDGE_PERSONA) is still exported from the library because its system prompt is coupled to the output contract consumed by extractJudgeSection / extractJudgeConfidence. Override it via ConsensusOptions.judge.systemPrompt only if the replacement emits the same four ## headings and trailing JUDGE_CONFIDENCE: N line.

Nothing stops you from mixing built-ins with fully custom personas, or replacing the seven with whatever voices your domain actually needs — the engine only cares that each Participant.persona satisfies PersonaSchema.
