Description
I would appreciate it if you could share (hopefully on docs) the worst case power consumption of the OpenArm with dual-arm configuration, as I'm currently trying to estimate it but feel a bit unsure about the correct approach. Also, I'd appreciate if you could share the nominal power consumption.
Below is the method I attempted, but if you already have a nominal wattage value in mind, it would be very helpful if you could let me know.
Estimation based on power supply (worst case 720W)
From the number of power supplies and their rated output (2 x 360W), I assume that the nominal power consumption is likely above 320W but below 720W (If 320W had been sufficient, you wouldn’t have needed two power supplies.)
Estimation based on motor specification (worst case 2520W)
Based on the motor datasheet, I tried calculating it as follows, but I believe my result is incorrect. it seems too high.
Each arm includes the following motors:
DM-J4310 x 3 (24V x 2.5A rated)
DM4340 x 2 (24V x 2.5A rated)
DM-J8009P x2 (24V x 20A rated)
So, for two arms, the total rated power consumption would be:
>>> (24 * 2.5 * 3 + 24 * 2.5 * 2 + 24 * 20 * 2) * 2
2520.0 W
