Not able to embed ![[local images]]

Hello. I noticed a previously closed discussion on related (and closed) topic, and I'd like to +1 the same occuring with me as well:

What Fails | see (1) below

1. Embedding local images in a note are a hit or miss — sometimes they work, mostly they don't.
2. Same issue with presentation background via local images (using property 'bg' in frontmatter, or inline styling via <!-- slide bg="[[nameofimage.png]]" in slide section)

I have tried:

• Searching every online corner for help
• Disabling > re-enabling plugin
• Drag-drop/typing image path to be sure
• Moving imaged directory in root folder
• Even renaming an image (though nomenclature is as simple as '002-question.png')

Accidental success | see (2) below:

• If I place the same image in an old note, it just shows up.

It is a brilliant plugin, but in my role I depend on it for replacing my PowerPoint slides — please make it work so that I can save the world :)

I need more information here. This works for me every time. I can not reproduce it. That said: I use markdown links (rather than wiki links) and relative or absolute (rather than shortest) paths.

• Are you on Windows?
• Have you tried this with the Developer Console open, and if so, can you share any messages related to resolving/serving those images?
• Do the images resolve if you view the presentation in a browser instead of in Obsidian?

Finally, I always need to see the raw source. A screenshot of live preview is pretty useless. Please think about how the content is parsed: the raw characters matter. It helps me help you if you share things in the rawest format you can.

Can either or both of you please open an issue, and be specific with the version you're running, the platform you're on, and what you've tried?

I gave it another try, and this time, is is unfortunately performing worse: despite the install, I get persistent error dialog of failed installation. Screenshots attached FYA please...

App version is 1.9.x .. I think 1.10 is generally available at this point?
You did not indicate which Obsidian installer you're using..

If you update Obsidian, I recommend you update the installer, too
