random color switch in the intellij idea versioning pane

The color of the box varies randomly between dark blue and gray, which is the right color?

Looks like it's a UI rendering bug in IntelliJ IDEs. How to reproduce this? It's always Picture 1 on my device. But when I toggle to modal commit interface, the color comes to be like Pic 2.

What do you mean by modal commit interface?
In my case the color exchange is mainly like in pic 2, in my last attempt to recreate the bug I had to open 4 different projects and on the fourth there was a color switch
