AutoPlay "false" not working on tvOS

Describe the bug
Inconfig.json, auto_play is set to false, and Autoplay is off in YouTube settings on each Apple TV. Videos continue to autoplay. Began just a few days ago, independent of an update to iSponsorBlockTV.

To Reproduce
Play any video. Videos will autoplay.

Expected behavior
Videos should not autoplay.

I'm on tvOS 26.5 Gen2 using docker and I haven't been able to reproduce this.

Albeit not actively trying; but I have been pulling and building several instances last 24h, on two separate systems (Win11 and Linux).

Did the issue arise after updates to current tvOS' v26.5.1?

It's possible. I'm not sure when my Apple TVs updated to 26.5.1. I wish there was a way to check the update date

Hi there, thanks for opening an issue.
I suspect they've changed something on a recent YouTube TV update and has nothing to do with the tvOS version.
I've noticed a new interface popping up 10 seconds before the end of the video showing the next video, and the 5 second timer has disappeared (this only happened with iSponsorBlockTV connected I think)

Maybe they've changed the command to set auto play off.
I'll try to take a look when I find some time

Thank you! Yeah I assumed a YouTube update was the culprit. Hope this can get fixed soon, autoplay really sucks especially at night!

Anything I could help diagnose to move this along? I had to disable iSponsorBlockTV due to the auto-play.

Hi, I haven't had time to look into this.
A way to test would be to pair a device (phone/tablet) to a TV and test with autoplay disabled through it to see if it works or is broken

It doesn't auto-play with the newly released version, so either that (pylounge?) fixed it or google fixed it on their end.

It unfortunately started happening again. I haven't updated iSponsorBlockTV in a month-ish, so I do think it has to be something changing on the YouTube end.

Hi, I've been doing some testing and might've found a solution.

This new branch ignores the value set on the config file and should respect the option set on YouTube settings -> AutoPlay next video.
To test, set the docker image to ghcr.io/dmunozv04/isponsorblocktv:autoplay-improved

Please do let me know if this happens to work
