Tweeting too many times

I got this up and working and its great (thank you.).

The only issue I see that I cannot resolve is that from my understanding it should only tweet when a new audio track starts. I have 5 streams (and 5 copies of the script) running. It updates to Twitter for all of them as it should, but sporadically it will tweet that the same exact show is now playing when it just did that several minutes ago. The audio did not stop/restart and the name of the track is exactly the same.

Any ideas?

i did notice that i forgot to add the title.txt function into the icecast version of the script. so i just added that.. not sure which your using though.

last i checked (some years ago) twitter should simply reject a tweet if its identical to the previous tweet.

how often does this happen?
