Countryside 3DFX Road Textures Bug

I'm not sure if this was a thing on the original release, but i noticed the countryside road textures are incorrect when running dethrace 3DFX.
I apologize in advance if this was a vanilla bug.

This is 3DFX Mode (Note the colour error, either red or green, sometimes normal. this is amd driver issue not related to this issue)

the road textures on 3dfx seem far to wide

The problem is that VOODOO.TXT lists some textures as "quadruple". I don't know why but I expect it was a driver bug in those old cards, probably we can just ignore that flag?

While being a bug its fair to say this is vanilla behaviour yes?

Also can I edit the VOODOO.TXT myself to fix this?

I suspect it would have worked properly on a real voodoo card and something about sdl, opengl or something else in the stack causes it to act differently

I haven't had a chance to test myself but yeah,, decrypt the file then remove all the file names leaving the header and end should fix it. Report back if it does

This is a correct bug - the texture quadruple etc is handled in PurifiedPixelmap which I forgot was stubbed out and currently does nothing :)

still, what you see is the original vanilla behavior - theres no double/quad for road textures by default
