Select dropdown with limit_tag_js possible with existing helpers?

I'm trying to replace an existing select dropdown wil_paginate setup with the standard [10, 20, 50, 100] select per-page limit dropdown, but I'm only seeing a text box entry option with the limit_tag_js helper. I've seen and played with some basic html form submit override code as an option, but thought there might be something elegant already baked here I'm missing?
