Here are some things we may want to ask Excel experts when interviewing them:
- About "iterative recalculation" solution - have they thought of this? Would they use this if they did so? Or is there something "not right" about this approach?
- About mapping 3 dimnesions (time, agents, properties) to 2D - discuss what their approach was, what alternatives they considered, how they know which approach is the best?
- Related to the above, when using 2D space - how did they pick what to use X and Y dimensions for?
- Think about data access patterns (i.e., when computing a value for an agent, in what "directions" you need to access other information - such as earlier step, other agents, etc.) - is this something they think about? If so, how?
