Login loop

Hello, this is the e-mail client I've been looking for for years! I've tried installing it on my Linux (Ubuntu) machine and everything is looking good except that when I try to logon (with a valid user/pw), the page simply refreshes with blank username password boxes.
How do I know what logfile to look into? There are seemingly no errors in the syslog but, besides that, I don't know where to look to troubleshoot the issue.

Hi @IrAlfred , I did follow all the steps except for the Config Generator, which doesn't seem to work: when I customize options, they do not show up at the bottom of the screen. I entered my custom values directly in the .env file.

I tried the Config Generator in both Firefox and Chrome, with identical results

Hi @IrAlfred and all pros, is there any way to further troubleshoot this issue? Even pointing me to the right logfile would be of great help.

Hi @whiskytechfred, Cypht doesn't maintain its own separate error log file. For troubleshooting common errors, I'd recommend checking the default web server logs instead:

• Apache: Typically /var/log/apache2/error.log or /var/log/httpd/error_log
• Nginx: Usually /var/log/nginx/error.log

These logs will capture PHP errors, connection issues, and other server-level problems that might be affecting Cypht. Let us know if you find anything specific in those logs!

Thanks for your reply. I still experience no feedback after inputting a valid userid and password but, unfortunately, the /var/log/apache2/error.log file does not register anything new when the login is attempted. Is there anywhere else I can look to troubleshoot?
