JOSS review: paper suggestins

Hello,

I am reviewing this as part of openjournals/joss-reviews#10124, and I have a few suggestions for the paper.

• State of the field: The most commonly used packages are closed source. Could you provide a little information about them?
• Software design: I'd like to see the architecture more than the packages used. Why command line over GUI? What about the design of the package? How modular is it. Is it focused on speed of manipulating these or flexibility of handling different formats or easy of modification and improvement?
• Research Impact: Looks great, no changes necessary
• Spell check: I see a few spelling errors

Thanks for your suggestions, these have been implemented in #85. Please let me know if this requires further changes before merging.
