Feature request: Add support to save an item or importing txt/vtt/srt files

Unless i'm mistaken it is not possible to add existing txt/vtt/srt that were previously transcribed, together with the audio?
Our transcriber team has 1 person that will batch transcribe a long list of audio files. The other members of the team will edit and correct the AI transcriptions. How can you share a transcribed audio file?
Would it be possible to add a "Save to project" or other feature that allows sharing items that are ready?

@edwinhamers Am I correcct in assuming that you want to import the AI transcribed subtitle and the audio into another users computer so they can validate and correct the transcripts?

Feels like a useful feature for teams we may implement something to address this need

Yes exactly. To share the already AI transcribed audio with a team member. Or in any way save an existing transcribed item locally as a backup

For teams I am planning to introduce a "server" mode, where the office can have a powerful computer that can transcribe files for everyone, so all the people that need the transcriptions can send their files to the server. Server = a powerful regular computer with Buzz running. I think we can add a feature where the server would look up if the file is in it's database and return that when someone asks. This would let you preload the files to the server and users who need the transcriptions would get the result very quickly.

Import / export option may also be easy to implement via Folder watch feature Buzz has.
Do you have some shared network drive or something like that? Can you describe your setup a bit. Where do files come from, some internal recording tool or external source? How you does the team share them? How would the editor know that they need to edit something?, emails, team chat or some file appearing in some "to do" folder.

Implementation of the new feature will take some time, but there may be some quick workarounds.

We have an archive of audio (mp3) files that are located on our Google Workspace shared drive.
We work with 10-20 transcribers that are located all over the world. Our transcript files are shared with a Google Workspace shared drive that everyone has access to. We have 1 person currently that will batch transcribe audio files with Buzz. And the transcripts are exported to txt/srt/vtt and added to the shared drive. From there they will do the editing and proofreading.

From your answer i understand that Buzz uses an internal database to keep track of the added and transcribed items. So currently it is not possible to share/save projects and open them in another Buzz install. A server 'mode' sounds a bit complicated compared to simply saving/storing the item individually.
Either way, im happy to read that the idea of a team option is there!

Yes, currently it is not possible to import existing transcript.

I have a clear picture of your workflow. Will see how to combine the needs I have seen in other companies and see what we can do about this.
