chembl web api and mcp interactions

Hello,
We would like to be able to use our on-premis chembl DB as it sits in our server with various mcp servers.  Currently the chembl mcp appears to use the chembl web api and then searches the public chembl database.  

Do we need to implement the entire chembl web api in house to use our mcp based agents on our on-premis chembl db?
