Visualization Notebooks aka Augur Analysis

Description

We recently migrated the Rappel project from Red Hat into the Data Science Working Group. This project contains a series of Jupyter Notebooks that gather data from Augur and create visualizations to analyze that data.

Contributing to this project is a great way to build a set of basic data science skills (e.g., Jupyter notebooks, Pandas, Dash-Plotly, and Python) that will be useful in a variety of data science roles.

@cdolfi is leading this project and will be providing more details about how people can contribute.

Hi @cdolfi and @geekygirldawn ,
I’d love to get involved in the Visualization Notebooks (Augur Analysis) project. I recently contributed Apache metadata (#174) and would like to move toward analysis and visualization work.

I’m comfortable with Python, pandas, and Jupyter notebooks, and would be happy to extend existing notebooks or create new visualizations.

Could you share more details on:

• How contributors should get started?
• Whether there is a preferred Augur setup workflow?
• Any specific visualization goals or priority areas?
