Continue China-specific localization audit beyond checkups #8

Feedback context

Reader feedback showed that some medically correct wording can still feel foreign or hard to use in China-facing scenarios. Checkup pages were the first obvious case, but the same issue can appear in emergency guidance, mental health, health products, hospital departments, medical records, and insurance/payment language.

Scope

Audit pages for:

  • China-facing emergency and hospital workflow wording;
  • mental health crisis entry points and hotline wording;
  • health product, supplement, medical-device, and anti-aging regulatory references;
  • checkup package and report item names;
  • department navigation terms;
  • family medical record and reimbursement/insurance wording;
  • units and reference-range conventions commonly seen in Chinese reports.

Guardrails

  • Localize wording without weakening medical boundaries.
  • Do not replace official clinical judgment with local folk conventions.
  • Prefer Chinese official/regulatory sources when the topic is about Chinese access, product claims, or hospital workflow.
  • Keep international sources where they are clearer for general medical boundaries.

Suggested validation

Run the most important pages against real Chinese hospital/体检中心 menus, product pages, and reader scenarios.
