Question: Updating guitarix to latest

Hello Hermann, sorry to bother you again. Just wanted to ask, what's the procedure to update guitarix to latest for use with this VST? I tried just copying the whole source tree, but it gives unresolved symbols to gx_engine::(RtNeural/NeuralAmp stuff), and applying all required patches by hand would be quite cumbersome.

I'm really interested to use this plugin in Renoise (would save me a bunch of hassle with Carla) For now it works as is, but i'd really like to have the extra features that were added afterwards... Thanks! 🤟😃👍

The unresolved symbols you see because I've changed the model loading in guitarix to be able to use a MIDI controller to change the model. I haven't made it to implement that for the VST3 wrapper. But, other than that, the latest changes we implemented in guitarix main have no relation to the VST3 wrapper, as they are only apply to the LV2 plugins.

Ah, i got it! so i can just copy the src/LV2 directory to the guitarix module in guitarix.lv2/guitarix/trunk/src/ right?

It compiles and installs fine, but the "AMP STACK" section's presence knob still seems to act weird, kind of similar to how it did before i implemented a fix last year (or was it 2 years ago?) ...it jumps from "off" (check box) to "minimum" (check box on, knob at left) at lower volume and with the presence effect already heavily engaged, then the volume goes back to normal (and eventually louder) with the presence setting higher. Kind of like GxAmplifier / GxAmpStereo did before, but with the first half of range missing, ie. we can do either 0 (checkbox off) or anywhere between 5 and 10 (checkbox on, knob anywhere) ..matches GxAmplifier at these settings (except volume diff)

I'm suspecting the "AMP STACK" section is a separate "central" component of guitarix, and has nothing to do with the GxAmplifier.v2 plugin? If so, would the same/similar fix apply?

Also a tiny feature request: it would be really nice to have a toggle on/off box for the AMP STACK section like the others. I wasn't able to find any setting that puts it absolutely neutral / near-zero effect on sound!

But, yea, this was as well only related to the LV2 plugs and have no impact to guitarix main/vst3.
To the AMP STACK, unlike the other modules, the AMP STACK consists of several modules and it is not supposed to be disabled. You could select "--" from the tube selector to disable the tube pre amp section, but switching of the master out is out of scope.

Got it - but for the presence knob, would it be possible it was intended to cross-fade with the original signal (kind of like my original LV2 presence mod does) ...except the original signal doesn't get mixed in? Right now it just outputs the fully convoluted signal in raising volume from low to high as the knob is swept upwards.

I don't want to start hacking at the "faust-generated" files if there's a better way to fix this. These .cc files are part of the source code distribution, but at what stage do they get generated excatly?
