Aretomo Local alignments

Dear Lorenzo,

I was perusing github when I stumbled upon your Waretomo page. You mention that this script integrates AreTomo and Warp: "while having matching AreTomo reconstructions with their local patch alignments". I am curious about using patch alignment data (local alignment) from AreTomo into Warp, does this script provide that capability or did you find a way? If I am not mistaken, the xf file provided by AreTomo does not contain this "local info", so I was just curious about this.

Hey @lmcarreira! Sorry for the late response. No, unfortunately this is not possible without a lot of work, cause Aretomo and Warp speak completely different languages when it comes to local alignments. What I've done here is "work around it" in a way that allows comparison between the two to gain the benefit of Aretomo's local alingments in terms of quick visual quality when picking, while being able to use those picks directly in warp.
