There are 2 use cases. Or 3 actually:

  1. you are in brainvisa, and you display the data (image, mesh, sulci graph, whatever) using the eye icon (a brainvisa viewer process): then the data should be assigned a non-default referential (the colored ball next to the data object in anatomist should not be red), then click on the referentialbutton of the window (the colored bar between the menu and the 3D view) and select either the red (Talairach AC/PC) or light blue (MNI) referential): the view should reorient the data and the cursor should be aligned to the axis you want.
  2. You are not in brainvisa, and have loaded the data in Anatomist "by hand". Then the data will be in the default (red) refer…
