issue getting to work

i am having issues getting this working, here is my issue. when i set this up is dims the lights and lowers the color temp as long as i have the
"prefer_rgb_color: Whether to prefer RGB color adjustment over light color temperature when possible" CHECKED
but come morning it will NOT brighten and raise the color temp until i go into settings and UNCHECK
"prefer_rgb_color: Whether to prefer RGB color adjustment over light color temperature when possible"

I have change every setting and adjusted all also to see why but i have not found the reason.
the two lights i have been experimenting with are the same make and style. i have set up the lamps together and separately.

Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong?
