Missing characters inside terminal applications like pulsemixer

Here we have a screenshot of pulsemixer where at the top terminal is Alacritty and the bottom one is st, the block characters are missing from the latter.

This issue can be addressed by adding Noto Mono as a fallback mono font in /etc/fonts/local.conf or by using the font2 patch to add fallback fonts within st.
