Can not access cameras with password protection.

I can use this add-on to view un-secured cameras with no problems, but when trying to access any of my IP cameras that require a login, I get a message in the add-on that says:

"One or more items failed to play. Check the log for more information about this message."

The log only says "error opening <my.camera.URL> failed with code 401" - error 401 is an authentication failure.

The format I am using to pass the login credentials is:

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/mjpeg_read.php?user=uuu&pw=ppppp

Using this same URL in my browser shows me the live stream just fine, but it doesn't work in the add-on?
Why?
Does this add-on not support cameras that require login authentication?

The addon was developed to show simple streams without authentication support. There's no plan to extend this because

• I don't use this addon anymore
• I don't have a cam which require an authentication. I simply cannot test this.

What is the point of a SECURITY camera that doesn't have a security password?????

The point is that this addon is not designed for security cams. It shows pictures/videos from IP-cams all over the world. That's the intention and the addon name suggest this.
