Start GUI with args

It was said that current CLI implementation is intended for terminal-environment like SSH.

Then I would like to have similar possibilities but for GUI.
Namely: start GUI with media/url specified via args, and either cast it immediately (on specified or default device), or allow to select device interactively.

I couldnt get it to run at all on linux cos cant find any devices not even my laptop
