Question: Dynamic toggle

Very often, I need to toggle ivy-rich mode off during an Ivy session temporarily. I don't want to turn Ivy-rich-mode completely, just for that session. Is that possible at all?

When I'm in the Ivy/Counsel panel already - be that Buffers, M-x, etc. is there a way to turn off Ivy-rich-mode without having to close the Ivy session, then execute (ivy-rich-mode -1) and then open Ivy again (so I can see things without ivy-rich), and then turn ivy-rich-mode back on afterwards?

Sorry, currently this is not support. There some issues here:

• I'm not sure how to achieve this without re-executing the command since the candidate string has already been transformed. I think the redundant highlights on annotation issue is also related to this ivy's display mechanism.
• You don't need to close the ivy session to eval (ivy-rich-mode -1). But even though, this display transform is not updated until re-executing the command as mentioned above.
• I would suggest you take a look at the marginalia package, and it supports temporarily disable annotations by using marginalia-cycle. But I'm not sure if it supports ivy/'ivyfy' commands. It works perfectly with consult and the built-in commands like execute-extended-command.

I'm currently using the Selectrum + prescient + consult + marginalia + embark combo, so far so good :)
